Lil Disciples Bible Study  – (Book of Romans: June 11th)

Lil Disciples Bible Study is an age-appropriate study of God’s Word. The lessons for the summer will continue to be about the books of the Bible through a series posted on the NBDM YouTube Channel. Youth are encouraged to watch each week’s episode in preparation for Children’s Church on Sunday.

Food Pantry – The Bond of Unity Food Pantry will be open every other Thursday in the month of June between 2-5pm. (Specific dates June 12th & Junbe 26th). If you need food on an alternate Thursday or live in a different area, please call 2-1-1 to find a food pantry closest to you. Donations can be made through Paypal. -       Volunteers are needed to assist with the Bond of Unity Food Pantry. Street Kings – Street Kings will be doing outreach to the homeless.  If you would like to help assemble the food bags or if you would like to donate items, please reach out to Bro George Storm.

Spirit Midwest – The 2025 mission trip has been scheduled for Feb 8th-14th. If you would like to learn more, please contact Sis. Terri at spiritmidwestia@gmail.com. Next meeting is Sunday, July 6th at 2pm. The meeting will be held at New Beginnings Discipleship Ministries. 

Spirit Midwest State Fair Volunteers – Spirit Midwest Ministries are looking for volunteers to help at the Iowa State Fair.

-  Gate Volunteers - Must be 16yrs+ and shifts include 11am-7pm on Sunday, August 10th OR Wednesday August 13th.

-  Ice Cream Stand Volunteers – Must be 12yrs+ and there are 6-hour shifts that start time between 8:45-9:45am on Friday, August 15th OR Sunday, August 17th. To sign-up, please contact Pastor Terri at spiritmidwestia@gmail.com. 

Morning Winter Workout Classes – We are currently hosting morning group workout classes beginning on Tuesday & Friday Mornings 6:50am-7:30am. These will be cardio workouts and the cost will be $12.50 per session. Financial Assistance is available please see Sis. Angie for details.

 Ask A Pastor – We will be scheduling another ‘Ask A Pastor’ 6-8pm on Friday, July 11th. This is an evening where you will be able to ask questions about Biblical living in today’s world. Stay tuned for more info. CLICK HERE to submit topics and questions for discussion. 

Women’s Self-Defense Outing – NBDM Women’s Ministry will be hosting a trip to the shooting range for the ladies on Saturday, July 12th. The event will be $40 per person with only 20 slots available. Please save the date and more info to come. 

Wise Master Builders Annual Congress – The date for this year’s Wise Master Builders Annual Congress is scheduled for July 17th -20th in Joliet IL. Registration info is coming soon, but hotel details are now available. Please click link for more details: https://www.ewembassy.org/events  

NBDM VBS 2025 – Mark your calendar for this year’s VBS “Concrete and Cranes: Jesus Is Our Strong Foundation” which will take place Monday, July 21st – Friday, July 25th! We will have dinner every evening at 6:00pm with classes from 6:30-8pm. More info to come.

Family & Friends Service – Mark your calendar for our Family and Friends Service in the Park on Sunday, July 27th. That Sunday we will have praise, worship, fun and fellowship at MLK park. More details to come.

Iowa Heroes Academy - The Des Moines Police Department is accepting applications for the Iowa Heroes Academy for young women ages 16-18 who are interested in exploring careers in firefighting, policing, and the military.
